Engagement

For more than 25 years, not only has the quality of our louvre windows been our priority, but also the satisfaction of our customers and our social responsibility towards our employees and future generations. We take this responsibility into account by expanding our activities in social areas and supporting projects.

The largest international university competition for sustainable building and living in cities, the Solar Decathlon Europe, took place in Germany for the first time in June 2022. Team MIMO from the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences faces this challenge in line with the motto "Minimal Impact - Maximum Output" - minimal intervention, but maximum benefit for society. The MIMO team and 17 other teams from 11 countries had a vision: to make building and living sustainable.

We are pleased that EuroLam, as a sponsor, was able to contribute to the development of the project. The energy self-sufficient louvre windows from EuroLam formed the basis for the facade and are used for optimal ventilation, sun protection and prevent heat build-up. The louvre windows, with an integrated photovoltaic panel in the glazing, enable automatic, controlled, electrically operated natural ventilation without an additional power connection or the costly laying of cables in the building.

The work in the children's hospice in Tambach-Dietharz deserves our recognition and support. Not far from our company headquarters is the house where children live who are very ill and don't have much longer to live. Care in the hospice enables parents and siblings to share important and lasting moments together. For years we have been donating to the children's and young people's hospice in Central Germany. In 2021 we have expanded our activities and are donating an additional euro for every louvre window sold.
